These policies explain what you can expect from Swifly, what we expect from you, and what happens when things don't go as planned.
By using the Swifly website or app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Swifly.
Swifly is an on-demand services marketplace that connects customers with service providers. We don't provide the services ourselves — we provide the platform that makes it possible for customers and providers to find each other.
Swifly is available to South African residents. Customers must be 18 or older. Providers must be South African residents with a valid ID and must pass our verification process before they can accept jobs.
A customer submits a service request. The request is sent to providers in the customer's area. A provider can accept the request. The customer and provider communicate through the platform. When the job is complete, the customer confirms and pays. Swifly takes a 15% commission from the total. The provider receives the remaining 85%.
All payments are digital — card, Apple Pay, or other approved digital payment methods. No cash payments through Swifly. Payment is held by Swifly until the customer confirms the job is complete and they're satisfied. Swifly then releases the payment to the provider, minus the 15% commission.
Swifly verifies providers before they can accept jobs. Verification includes identity verification (South African ID), and where applicable, proof of address, proof of qualifications, and for registered businesses, proof of company registration. Swifly may, at its discretion, request additional documentation.
After each completed job, customers can rate the provider. Providers can also rate the customer experience. Ratings help the marketplace work better — they help customers choose providers and help providers get more jobs. Swifly may remove ratings that are abusive, false, or violate these terms.
Customers must provide accurate information about the service they need. Providers must provide accurate information about their skills and qualifications. Both parties must communicate honestly and professionally.
You may not: fraudulently use the platform, harass other users, provide false information, use Swifly for anything illegal, or try to circumvent Swifly's payment or verification systems. Swifly may suspend or remove users who violate these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify users of significant changes. Continued use of Swifly after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Swifly is a platform, not a service provider. We don't guarantee that any particular provider will be available, that any job will be completed to your satisfaction, or that any provider will be suitable for your needs. You're responsible for checking that a provider is suitable before the job starts. Swifly's liability is limited to the extent allowed by South African law.
Swifly takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
When you use Swifly, we collect:
We collect your data to:
We use your data only for the purposes described in this policy. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share it with other users of the platform (like a provider seeing your job request) when it's necessary for the platform to work.
We share data with:
We take reasonable steps to protect your data — secure storage, access controls, and encryption where appropriate. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you if we become aware of a data breach that affects you.

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the platform working, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

By registering as a Swifly provider, you agree to these terms. This is in addition to the Terms of Use — read both.
You must be a South African resident with a valid South African ID. You must be at least 18 years old. You must pass our verification process. You can be an individual or a registered business — both are welcome.
Before you can accept jobs, you'll need to provide:
We may ask for additional information depending on the services you offer. We review each application personally — it usually takes a few days.
Customers pay Swifly by card or other approved digital payment methods. Swifly holds the payment until the job is complete and the customer confirms they're satisfied. Swifly then releases the payment to you, minus a 15% platform commission.
Example: A job priced at R1,000 gets completed. The customer confirms. Swifly releases R850 to you and keeps R150.
Payments are made by digital transfer to your account details on file. We don't handle cash.
You set your own rates. Swifly shows starting prices for each service as a guide, but you decide what to charge. Be realistic — your rates affect whether customers choose you. If you're not sure, start competitive and adjust as you build your reputation.
When you receive a job request, review it carefully. Make sure you can do it, that you're available, and that the location works for you. Accept only jobs you're confident you can complete.
Once you accept, you're committed. Communicate with the customer. Arrive on time. Complete the job to a standard the customer can be happy with. Upload before/after photos where the service requires it (cleaning, dishes, laundry, etc.).
If you need to cancel a job you've accepted, tell the customer as soon as possible and tell us too. Frequent cancellations affect your reputation and may affect your ability to get jobs. If you cancel after travelling to a job, you may still be entitled to a partial payment for your time — see the cancellation policy.
Customers rate you after each job. Your ratings affect how many jobs you get — higher ratings generally mean more opportunities. If you receive a rating you believe is unfair or false, you can contact us and we'll review it.
We may suspend or remove your provider account if you: violate these terms, provide false information, behave unprofessionally, receive consistently poor ratings, fail to complete jobs you've accepted, or otherwise act in a way that harms the platform or its users.
If we suspend or remove your account, you'll still be paid for any completed jobs. We'll notify you before taking action where possible.
If you're a registered business, you're responsible for your own legal compliance — tax, insurance, employment law, and anything else that applies to your business. Swifly doesn't provide legal or tax advice. If you're not sure what applies to you, get advice from a professional.
We may update this agreement from time to time. We'll notify providers of significant changes. Continued use of the platform as a provider after changes means you accept the updated agreement.
If you have questions about being a provider, email swiflyoperations@gmail.com or WhatsApp 061 857 4605.
Life happens. Sometimes plans change. This policy explains what happens when a job is cancelled — and makes sure it's fair for both sides.
Either the customer or the provider can cancel a job. But cancellation should be a last resort, not a first option. Communicate early. If you know you can't do a job, say so before the provider travels.
If you cancel before the provider has started travelling to your location, you won't be charged. The provider doesn't lose anything — they haven't incurred any cost yet.
What to do: Cancel through the app or contact the provider directly as soon as you know. The sooner you cancel, the better.
If you cancel after the provider has already travelled to your location (or is on their way), you may still be responsible for a partial payment. The provider has already spent time and money getting to you.
The partial payment is for the provider's time and travel — it's not the full job price. The exact amount depends on how far the provider travelled and how much time they've invested. We'll work it out fairly, based on the circumstances.
Example: A provider travels 30 minutes to your home for a R500 cleaning job. You cancel when they arrive. The provider may receive a partial payment — say R150–R200 — for their travel time, even though the job didn't happen.
Providers shouldn't cancel jobs they've accepted unless something genuinely prevents them from doing the job — illness, an accident, an emergency.
If a provider cancels before travelling, the customer isn't charged and we'll try to find another provider.
If a provider cancels after travelling, the customer isn't charged and the provider may still be entitled to a partial payment for their time.
Frequent cancellations without good reason affect a provider's reputation and may affect their ability to get jobs in future.
If a provider accepts a job and doesn't show up and doesn't communicate, that's a serious issue. The customer isn't charged. The provider may be suspended or removed from the platform.
If a customer doesn't show up and doesn't communicate, the provider may be entitled to a partial payment for their time, and the customer's reputation may be affected.
Partial payments are for the provider's time and travel when a job is cancelled after they've started working on it. They're not automatic — we assess each situation based on:
If you disagree with a partial payment decision, contact us and we'll review it.
Sometimes things are genuinely out of everyone's control — extreme weather, accidents, emergencies, load shedding that makes a job impossible. In these cases, we handle cancellations on a case-by-case basis, aiming to be fair to both sides.
The key to a fair cancellation is communication. If you need to cancel, tell the provider and tell us — as early as possible. The earlier you cancel, the less impact it has. Surprise cancellations after someone's already travelled are the hardest to handle fairly.
